View ProjectI was thrilled to be part of the team that completely revamped AK Digital's website. Our mission was simple: make it modern, user-friendly, and visually engaging for visitors.
We started by collaborating closely with the designer to create a clear vision for the new website. Using Figma, we meticulously crafted a prototype to ensure every element worked seamlessly before diving into development. For specific functionalities, we rolled up our sleeves and wrote custom code using tried-and-true technologies. Additionally, we migrated blog content from another system to ensure a smooth user experience across the entire website.
As the lead developer on this project, I wore many hats. I spearheaded the entire coding process, ensuring everything functioned as planned. However, collaboration was key! I worked closely with the design team to bring their vision to life and kept in constant communication with the product manager to track progress and tackle any challenges that arose. It was also important to understand the marketing team's goals, so I actively participated in discussions to make sure the final website aligned perfectly with their vision.
We were ecstatic to see the positive impact of the website redesign. Website traffic jumped from 8,000 to 11,000 monthly views – a great sign that more people were discovering AK Digital. But the real win was the significant increase in lead generation conversion rate, soaring from 1.57% to 4.62%. Digging into the analytics, we discovered that streamlining the contact process played a major role in this improvement.
